December, 2007 It's hard to believe that another year has gone by. 2007 saw the launch of our CGDP series of definite purpose contactors, SPM low profile power supplies, LDM digital panel meters, and the SB4 series of light curtains with both fixed and floating blanking. As we approach 2008, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our best wishes for the holidays and continued prosperity in the new year.

 Our popular RM1E series of analogue
switching (phase angled fired) solid state relays is now available with a 0 - 10 VDC
input. The RM1E is available in versions up to 600 V / 100 Amps. These relays are
typically used for control of heaters and lighting.
Coming in January , 2008 We are pleased to be launching our new line of push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights, and buzzers. This full featured line includes flush and extended push buttons, mushroom buttons, E-Stop buttons, short and long handle selector switches, LED indicators, and buzzers.
Trade Shows and Special EventsCarlo Gavazzi held their annual North American Sales Meeting earlier this year outside of Chicago. It was a racing theme: Kickin’ it into Overdrive!
Many of the products discussed at the meeting have either been launched, or will be launched in the coming months, and will certainly assist in kicking sales into overdrive as we transition into 2008.

The EM26 is a compact power analyzer capable of monitoring most single and 3 phase
electrical variables. In addition, it offers digital inputs for monitoring water and/or
gas consumption, digital outputs for kWh pulses or alarming, and serial communications.
The WM5 is an advanced Measurement Canada Approved
Utility Meter. In addition to kWh and Kvarh metering, the WM5 also monitors most single
and three phase electrical parameters as well as harmonic analysis up to the 63 harmonic.
The WM5 is available with digital and analogue outputs, RS232, RS485, or Ethernet
communications, 
The new RJ1P solid state contactor. with Modbus communication allows the unit
to be controlled and monitored directly from a PLC or computer. The RJ1P supports on/off,
phase angled firing, burst firing, and distributed full cycle switching for loads up to 50
amps.
Our SPD range of power supplies has now grown to include a 3 phase, 480
Watt version. Combined with our new SPM series, Carlo Gavazzi has one of the
broadest ranges of power supplies on the market.
In late
November, Carlo Gavazzi, in support of our local distributors, exhibited at the Ontario
Electrical League's Essex County Trade Exposition in Windsor, Ontario.
