August 2015 – CARLO GAVAZZI is pleased to announce the expansion of the popular ICB Series Inductive Proximity Sensors. New “Extra-Extended” ICB12, ICB18 and ICB30 sensors provide sensing ranges up to three times the sensing distances of standard M12, M18, and M30 cylindrical inductive proximity sensors! In addition, Carlo Gavazzi has responded to feedback received from customers to provide some important enhancements to the ICB line.

The new ICB Series stands out from other sensors offered on the market thanks to these key features and benefits:

The “Extra Extended” ICB sensors enable a broader range of applications to be supported, by extending the sensing range up to three times the standard sensing distance: 10mm for M12 sensors, 20mm for M18 sensors, and 40mm for M30 inductive sensors.
True microprocessor-based technology allows final calibration after the assembly, enabling greater temperature stability, reliability, and repeatability.
The ability to re-program the microprocessor opens up opportunities to customize the sensor to specific OEM requests, such as special output types, switching frequencies, and timing functions.
Clearly visible diagnostic LED(s) are easily viewed from any direction, and provide sensor status, set-up assistance, as well as short circuit or overload indication.
The new set-up function ensures reliable operation by providing stability diagnostic LED indication during installation.
With up to 2,000 Hz operating frequency, the new ICB Series is one of the fastest inductive proximity sensors available on the market, making it the perfect choice for high speed counting and rotational speed monitoring.
Permanently legible, laser-engraved part number, cULus / CE marks, and serial number are readily visible on the front face of the sensor.

The ICB Series inductive proximity sensors are ideal for material handling, machine tool, packaging, plastic, mobile equipment, agriculture, and many other industries. A wide variety of configurations are available:

Three-wire DC inductive sensors in M12, M18, and M30 housings
Single (2-15mm), double (4-22mm), and triple (8-40mm) sensing distances
All sensors are cULus listed and CE marked
Operating temperature: -25°C to +70°C (-13° to +158°F)
Long and short nickel-plated brass housings
Flush and non-flush versions
Normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC), PNP or NPN output
Two-meter PVC cable or M12 disconnect plug

The new ICB Series inductive proximity sensors will replace all 3-wire DC IA inductive sensors, and older (Generation 1) non-flush versions of the M12 and M18 ICB Series sensors. For details on products to be phased out, including a cross reference to the new ICB Series, please refer to the attached Discontinuation Notice.

The new ICB Series inductive proximity sensors are available from CARLO GAVAZZI’s North American network of sales offices and distributors, or at www.GavazziOnline.com.
