PESP1b.jpg (4179 bytes)The new CGPS Series features a universal housing style, allowing installation via the threaded M18 barrel, or to a bracket via the mounting holes on the flat sides. Each sensor features a wire selectable normally open or closed output, so the right output choice is always available. Many models offer sensitivity adjustment via a potentiometer, so set up is both simple and fast. Connection options are plentiful as each model is available with your choice of a hard-wired cable, an M8 disconnect plug, or a ‘pig-tail’ option which combines both cable and an M8 disconnect plug.

The CGPS Series is available in four sensing technologies, each with exceptional sensing ranges. Diffuse reflective in 100 and 300 mm ranges, retro-reflective with a 6 meter range, polarized retro-reflective with a 3 meter range, and through-beam models in 6 and 20 meter ranges are offered. All sensors come with a 150mA NPN or PNP transistor output, and are constructed in a compact 13.5 x 29 x 35mm housing.

PESP2b.jpg (4732 bytes)The new PD30 Series features simple to use, precise push button programming. Many of the models also provide remote teaching options, so setup and programming of the sensor can be done away from the application, providing a tamper-resistant set up that allows for a more secure operation. A muting version provides various benefits, including mutual interference protection, sensor alignment aid, and the ability to verify the sensor’s proper operation remotely, via a PLC. A dust alarm output signals an alarm when the sensor lens needs to be cleaned, reducing downtime and improving sensor performance.

The new PD30 Series is available in six sensing technologies, several with advanced ranges previously unheard of in sensors this size, including through-beam (15 meter) and polarized retro-reflective (6 meter). Diffuse reflective, background suppression, retro-reflective, and a transparent object detection model are also available. Each sensor has a 100mA transistor output, which can be programmed as normally open or closed, and feature a compact 10.8 x 20 x 30mm housing.

Both of these new photoelectric sensor series provide various application solutions for the packaging, material handling and food/beverage markets, as well as several others. They are ideally suited for detecting the presence of packages, cartons, and various other items, including transparent objects. The Background Suppression models also offer exceptional detection capabilities in difficult sensing environments, such as food processing equipment where shiny, stainless steel backgrounds can cause difficulties for standard sensors.
