August 2009 - Carlo Gavazzi is proud to launch the newest standard in long-range diffuse photoelectric sensors with background suppression. Our new PD112 features the longest sensing range on the market, along with innovative features found in no other sensor.

The PD112 uses optical triangulation to accurately detect objects at long distances, while ignoring reflective background objects. The 28-turn potentiometer allows the user to get the precise detection required, for every application.

A truly unique innovation is the dual mode capability. The PD112 can operate in a traditional Industrial mode, which is ideal for applications such as pallet-wrapping and detecting objects on conveyors. With the flick of a dipswitch, the PD112 can operate in a Door mode, which optimizes the sensor for detection of people and objects in automatic door and gate applications. A test input function is active in the door mode, which allows for a controller to verify the proper function of the sensor for safety. All of these features allow the PD112 to be compliant with UL 325 for use in automatic doors and gates.

The PD112 is available with your choice of 2m cable pre-wired, or a M12 connector. With both NPN and PNP outputs and selectable Normally Open and Normally Closed outputs, the PD112 gives you the versatility to be used in many applications. UL and CE approvals assure a high quality and safe product.
