Earth Leakage Monitoring Relays

Ground faults are very damaging to electrical equipment. Usually a precursor to a full ground fault is aged or worn insulation on the cables. Carlo Gavazzi offers earth leakage monitors that work in conjunction with a core balance current transformer. With all your conductor passing through the transformer, if there is a leakage to ground, the earth leakage monitor will detect it and signal for a breaker to disconnect the system.

We offer both fixed and units with an adjustable leakage threshold. We provide 2 relay outpus , one as a pre-waring and the other as the alarm. Reset of the relay can be done from the front of the unit or via an external reset signal.
